Monday Prayer:

Lord, I give you thanks for Your faithfulness in the past week and for Your never-ending love offered to us with a new day, a new week, and new opportunities. Prepare our minds and hearts to be alert and ready to receive Your guiding grace. Put us where You will to do what You would have us do so that You are praised, the Body of Christ is encouraged, and testimony is given to the world of your goodness and greatness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Tuesday Prayer:

Lord, I give you thanks for your faithfulness yesterday and your love for today. I am empowered by knowing Your track record that You will be with me again as I face the challenges of today and this week. May I put my full trust in You and rely on your grace to give me the courage to do what I need to do. I choose to walk by faith not by sight. I choose to think heavenly thoughts rather than earthly thoughts. I choose the way of truth, kindness, compassion, love, and forgiveness. I choose You, Lord Jesus. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Wednesday Prayer:

Lord, I give You thanks for your faithfulness and Your fresh expression of love today. I acknowledge my sin and my guilt to You. I take great comfort in knowing that You are a forgiving God who has an unlimited supply of grace. However, I do confess where I have not lived up to Your holy name, where I failed to show Your glory in my lifestyle, where I fumbled to offer a word of witness, where I went about my work and service with a bad attitude, where I spoke words which were not good and helpful, where I did not do what I know You desired me to do. Please forgive me for these and other sins I have committed against You. Cleanse me and fill me anew with Your Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Thursday Prayer:

Lord, I give You thanks for Your faithfulness and Your new mercies for this day. I ask for Your redeeming love to be unleashed in my body, in my mind, in my soul, in my family, in my relationships, in my work, in my finances, in my decisions, in my future. Bring healing, renewal, and restoration within me, within Your Church, and within the world where there is war, persecution, racism, prejudice, injustice, and an overall lack of human decency. May we be ambassadors of Your kingdom on earth and be used to advance Your glorious name. Use us as reconcilers to bring others to the salvation and freedom that is found in Jesus Christ alone. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Friday Prayer:

Lord, I give You thanks for Your faithfulness and Your enduring love. I give You thanks for all the ways in which You provide what I need. I am grateful for family, friends, the Body of Christ, work, food, shelter, and so many opportunities. I thank You for all the ways in which You have blessed me so that I can be a blessing to others. May I live generously with my time and resources. As You have loved me so may I love You in return. May I show such love in practical ways of serving and giving to Your Church and the great needs of our community and world. Set me free to offer all You have entrusted to me for Your glory. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Saturday Prayer:

Lord, I give You thanks for Your faithfulness and Your never-failing love. As I come to the end of this week, I acknowledge that You have been with me every step of the way. I recognize You were in so many of my conversations, my interactions, and my locations. You are truly amazing in how You work in all of our lives accomplishing Your plans and purposes. Thank You for Your guidance and leadership so that I can fully be the person You have redeemed me to be. Please do not give up on me when I fall short of my calling. I choose to surrender myself anew to You so You will be Lord in everything. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Sunday Prayer:

The Blue Grass Prayer based on Jesus’ prayer in John 17.

“O Glorious One, we pray that we would bring you glory by completing the work you have entrusted to us. As we go about your ministry and mission, may we know the full measure of Jesus’ joy. As we go about your work in a hostile world, we plead that you would protect us from the evil one who wants to destroy your work in us. And by the power of your word, we ask you would make us holy, a pure bride for our coming Groom. Keep us in love and unity with one another to be a positive witness to the world so they might believe that Jesus is the way to life. We deeply desire to be known as your people so that we can always be with you and see your glory both on earth and in heaven. Amen.”
